1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the Cheekar website, prototype, and related services. Cheekar is currently under development and is not yet accepting service transactions. We will update this policy before launching features that materially change how personal information is handled.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use Cheekar, we may collect:
- Account information: name, email address, phone number, profile image, and identifiers supplied by an authentication provider.
- Guest-session information: an anonymous identifier and drafts you choose to create before signing in.
- Task and profile content: descriptions, selected categories, and media you voluntarily upload when those features become available.
- Technical and security information: device, browser, session, diagnostic, and abuse-prevention data.
- Location information: only after permission is requested and granted. Exact addresses will not be publicly exposed before a task is accepted.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- create and secure accounts and guest sessions;
- save drafts and continue them after authentication;
- provide, test, and improve Cheekar;
- detect fraud, abuse, prohibited requests, and safety risks;
- send authentication messages and essential service notices;
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
4. Service providers
We may use carefully selected providers to operate Cheekar. Our planned providers include Supabase for authentication, databases, storage, and server functions; Google for optional sign-in; IPPanel for phone verification messages; and Firebase Cloud Messaging for future push notifications. These providers process information only for the relevant service and under their own applicable terms.
5. AI and content safety
Future task-creation features may use artificial intelligence to organize user-provided text or media, ask clarifying questions, and identify potentially unsafe, illegal, or unsuitable requests. AI is not a substitute for emergency, medical, legal, or mental-health care. Structured results and safety decisions may be retained to operate and improve the service.
6. Sharing and sale
Cheekar does not sell personal information. We may share limited data with service providers, when you direct us to do so, to protect users and the service, or when required by law. Public task discovery will use approximate rather than exact location information.
7. Retention and deletion
We retain information only as long as needed for the purposes described here, including security, dispute prevention, and legal compliance. Account deletion and data-access options will be available before the public service launches. Some records may be retained where required by law or necessary to prevent abuse.
8. Security
We use access controls, private storage where appropriate, server-side secrets, secure transport, and activity monitoring. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, and users should avoid submitting sensitive information that is not required for a task.
9. Children
Cheekar is not currently intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Age-specific features, if introduced, will require separate safeguards and updated terms.
10. Changes and contact
